American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Mountain View is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Mountain View follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We were driving by and stopped to see what it is about. The danish pastry was good. Though a bit pricey for the location and ambience. Passion fruit one was very sweet though.

πŸ₯ Exceptional Pastries and World-Class Croissants This bakery is a standout destination for anyone who appreciates the art of traditional baking. It is great to find a place that focuses so heavily on the technical details of their dough. The signature croissant lives up to the hype and serves as a true reward for anyone making the trip. It features beautiful lamination with a crisp, shatter-on-impact exterior and a soft, airy honeycomb interior. It is easily one of the best examples of the craft you can find, balancing a rich butter flavor with a delicate texture. πŸ₯– Consistent Quality Across the Board While the croissants might be the most famous item, the entire selection is executed with a high level of expertise. Artisanal Breads: Every loaf is a testament to quality baking. All the pastries and bread is good, featuring a great crust and a deep, complex flavor that only comes from long fermentation and high-quality grains. Pastry Variety: From seasonal fruit tarts to savory options, the variety is impressive. Each item feels purposeful and freshly made, ensuring that no matter what you pick from the case, it will be a high-quality experience. Ingredient Focused: You can tas

The croissants really do taste like the ones in Paris, probably as close as you can get in the bay area. Such high quality ingredients and technique and it really shows. The seasonal flavor of danish at the time I was there was passionfruit and it is a well balanced sweet and tart, pairs well with the buttery flaky pastry.

I quickly stopped by this neighborhood bakery, which is more of a small, shack-style spot. There isn’t really space to sit and enjoy your food β€” it’s clearly designed mainly for takeout. The place is very well reviewed with a high rating, so I decided to check it out. Parking was easy enough on the street right in front. I picked up a ham and cheese croissant and a cardamom bun (cardamom croissant). They don’t seem to serve coffee β€” at least there was no option for it when I visited β€” so it’s more about grabbing pastries rather than lingering with a drink. They also offer a nice variety of artisanal breads and traditional breakfast pastries, all of which looked fresh and well made. The ham and cheese croissant was good, though nothing particularly stood out β€” but that may be because I’ve had some exceptional versions elsewhere. The cardamom pastry was also solid, but again, I’ve had outstanding cardamom buns in New York City, so my standards are admittedly high. Update: returned again. The danish was really delish and the bread is good too.

The almond croissants seem to be the most popular baked good. The taste is superb, the almonds are plentiful and the edges are perfectly crunchy. The chocolate twist is soft and tasty. We also got the olive bread, which was delicious with goat cheese. Overall, an excellent bakery.
